The at Inha University engages in research in pure and applied Mathematics while teaching a wide range of students, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. There are 15 tenured faculty members, and approximately 150 undergraduate students, and 20 graduate students.

Program Information

The department offers courses suitable for all mathematics students, ranging from introductory courses to research oriented courses. The undergraduate program in mathematics at Inha University is designed to prepare students for careers in the mathematical sciences and other careers requiring strong analytical skills. This diverse program can prepare students to become mathematics teachers, enter graduate school in Mathematics, or take up a variety of positions in industry and commerce.

The graduate program focuses on fostering intellectuals’ analytical ability and continued training of high school teachers. Excellent instruction is provided to students at all levels. Analysis, Algebra, Geometry, Topology, Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis, and other courses are offered to, not only, math majors but also to science and engineering majors. Many talks are given during the semester from outside speakers through the Mathematics Colloquium. The Department also encourages students to participate in research projects with other faculties to develop their talents in mathematics.
