Both institutions continue to conduct joint research projects in partnership with high-profile corporations such as Korean Air, Airbus, Pratt & Whitney and General Electric. The MOU aims at seeking a further developed relationship between the engineering schools based on the outstanding results and outcomes of years-long university-industry cooperation.
By signing the MOU, both universities agreed to cooperate in ▲ the establishment of joint research centers in Songdo Global Knowledge Complex, ▲ exchange of students and faculty, ▲ joint research and ▲ educational collaboration. Concerted efforts will also be pursued to secure enough funding for those collaborations. Strategic fields of research were identified as potential areas of research cooperation including RFID, Future Fuel & Energy and Bionano-Robot.
Inha University has been working on an outstanding plan to build a world class campus and R&BD centers in the Songdo Global Knowledge Complex, where an extensive scale of international partnership will be developed with world-renowned universities, leading global industries and research centers. The Songdo campus will aim at becoming the hub of education and research with a global standard in the North-east Asia, and the cooperation with the University of Southern California will serve as an essential impetus to achieve the impressive goals as stated in the MOU.
