Contributed $500,000 worth of software PowerLog to the Energy Resources Engineering Department
Inha University’s Energy Resources Engineering department contributed $500,000 worth of software PowerLog from Fugro-Jason Company on Oct. 24th.
Fugro-Jason’s head office is located in Amsterdam, Netherlands and the company has 13,500 staffs from 50 nations. It is known as the best company in technology of examining the features of the underflow of oil and gas.
PowerLog will be used for a lecture called Well Logging, to examine the original oil and gas in place with the data while drilling.
Eric Adams, the managing director of Fugro-Jason mentioned, “We contributed this software to help students in the Energy Resources Engineering department which was newly organized in 2010. With the financial and educational help of Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE), Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC), Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) and Korea Resources Corporation (KORES), we’re expecting the software will help improve our students’ practical abilities and help to get a job after graduation.
