Inha University has been selected as the operating institution of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's 'Engineering Education Innovation Research Information Center' and will receive 4.2 billion won in government subsidies over the next six years.

The Engineering Education Innovation Research Information Center plays a leading role in strengthening global engineering education capabilities along with 74 universities across the country, including 13 host universities selected for the ‘Creative Convergence Engineering Talent Nurturing Support Project.’ Inha University is the only university in the country to operate the Engineering Education Innovation Research Information Center.

Since 2018, the university has been operating the Engineering Education Innovation Research Information Center by forming a consortium with the Korea Academy of Engineering and the Korean Society of Engineering Education, the top professional institutions in the engineering field domestically. The Center has built a systematic system for nurturing creative and convergence engineering talents through significant achievements in engineering education research, teaching to strengthen professor's competency, and the development of an online industry-university cooperation platform.

The Center plans to further spur the training of talents who will lead the future industry by operating an engineering education academy and sharing and spreading the innovative results of engineering education. In addition, the plan is to foster creative and convergence-type engineering talents by conducting cooperative education programs based on exchanges and performance diffusion activities through the establishment and connection of a consortium network among engineering colleges across the country and the advancement of online industry-academic cooperation platforms.
