INHA University Alumni Reunion, ‘2024 1st Semester Scholarship Certificate Ceremony’

INHA University recently held the ‘2024 1st Semester INHA University Alumni Scholarship Certificate Ceremony’.
200 people including alumni and students, INHA University President Myeong-Woo Cho and members of the Academic Affairs Committee, Alumni Scholarship Association Chairman Yong-gi Lee, Alumni Reunion President Du-Han Kim, Former Alumni Reunion Presidents Seok-Cheol Jang and Jin-Woo Han, Scholarship Recipients Gyu-Man Shim, Gwang-Seok Kim, and Cheol-Mo Yeo attended this semester Alumni Scholarship Certificate Ceremony hosted by the INHA University Alumni Scholarship Association. Scholarships worth 272 million won were awarded to 193 students.
At this event, new scholarships including the Public Administration department scholarship established by the Public Administration department Alumni, the Public Servant Alumni Scholarship donated by a group of former and current civil engineering public servants of Incheon City, and the 15th Inha Choir Scholarship were awarded. Also, the Rocket Alumni Scholarship, which had been discontinued for a period, has been resumed. This was initiated thorugh donations made by the parents of alumnus Han-soo Jeon (Mechanical Engineering Major 91), who tragically passed away in an accident while manufacturing a rocket propellant in 1992.
Alumni Scholarship Association Chairman Yong-Gi Lee said, “I would like to extend my graditude to the recipients for dedicating their precious time to raise scholarship funds and to encourage students in person.” He added, “We hope that scholarship recipients will focus on their academic pursuits to become an individual leaders in society, and give back the honor to the future students.
Alumni Reunion President Du-Han Kim said, ”I hope that INHA University Alumni Scholarship recipients follow the noble ‘Hu-jin-yuk-yeong’ (to cultivate former talented students) Spirit and become the future leaders of INHA's History”.
President Myeong-Woo Cho said, “I am sincerely grateful for the beautiful and the prudent heart of alumni that shows love toward students,” and added, “We are pursuing a development master plan this year, which is the 70th year of the INHA University founding. “I hope scholarship recipients to contemplate how to embody their noble love of alumni for their future students of INHA University after they become a working member of the society,” in his congratulatory address.
