Inha University Celebrates 70th Anniversary with 2024 Entrance Ceremony

On February 29, 2024, Inha University marked its 70th anniversary with an entrance ceremony for the new academic year. The ceremony featured President Cho Myeong Woo, President of the Inha University Alumni Association Kim Du Han, freshmen, their families, and friends.

This year, over four thousand students from 13 colleges and departments began their journey at Inha University. Freshmen Seo Sang Woo, a major in Asia-Pacific Logistics, and Won Isoo, an Aerospace Engineering major, represented their class and recited the freshman oath. Seo also received a scholarship certificate on behalf of the 16 recipients of the Jeongseok Scholarship, awarded to students with outstanding admission grades.
To welcome the new students, the university distributed ‘freshman welcome boxes,’ which included a Starbucks tumbler, a GripTalk, and a message from President Cho to students who registered for the event in advance.
President Cho, in his address, emphasized the significance of the incoming class: "As we celebrate our 70th anniversary, you are not only entering a historic institution but are poised to become its future leaders. Inha University, built on the passion and sacrifice of Korean compatriots, remains dedicated to supporting your dreams and development into leaders of the next generation.
Kim Doo Han echoed this sentiment, expressing his pride in the new students: "I warmly welcome you to Inha University, where you join with dreams and ideals. Just as our alumni have contributed significantly to society, I am confident you will uphold our founding values of creativity, hard work, and service."
