Electrical Engineering
HomepageIntroduction
The School of Electrical Engineering of INHA University was founded in 1954 as one of the founding departments of the former "INHA Institute of Technology; IIT. Since its early foundation, the department of Electrical Engineering was one of the major academic courses in Korea in terms of its long history as well as current activities in various fields. Recently, it was restructured to accommodate the criteria for "Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea; ABEEK. Currently, 12 nominated professors are serving for both undergraduate and graduate programs. In the undergraduate program, excellent engineering courses are provided to the students for the purpose of promoting ingenious experts for industrial and R&D fields. In the graduate program, advanced courses in theories and technologies are provided for fundamental and applied science & technology in the related fields. The electrical power industry and access to electricity are fundamental for the development of nations, and therefore, has long been a primary area of study within the department and its degree program. As Korea succeeded in developing its modern industry, the department has been expanded to include subjects covering other key industries, namely, computerized control & robotics, electronic components and displays, and information and telecommunication technologies. As new needs have arisen, the academic program has been restructured to meet those needs, thus providing students with the most current and comprehensive education possibilities.
